Sanguine my brother

Post » Fri Sep 30, 2011 5:27 pm

I for one am really looking foward to joining the Dark Brotherhood in ES: Skyrim  It was by far my favorite guild in Oblivion and I can't wait to see what kind of missions lie ahead as well as the rewards. What are some of your wants or wishes that you would like to see included this time around? How about all the good times you had in the brotherhood while playing Oblivion, care to share? This is the place to discuss anything and everything about the Dark Brotherhood

Not the first guild, but I'll probably join up after I'm suitably powerful enough.

I want less scripted missions. I want to figure things out on my own.

in all my character i think im going to make first. i think its the euphoria of ACTUALY PLAYING SKYRIM!!! i may end up murdering a couple while they sleep with a 'big-ol axe'..... some things may lead to other and who knows =p. i may end up being like that orc from the dark brotherhood in oblivion.

Argonians should be the only ones allowed to join the Dark Brotherhood.

Well thats a tad racist. At least argonian's born under the shadow are special to the brotherhood. I always RP a shadowscale argonian can't wait :D

i voted yes only cause my first character is ussually stealth... my second tries to be a warrior but ends up being stealth, and my third tries to be a mage but ends up being stealth.

I never found Warrior, or Mage fun in Oblivion but i think that will change with Skyrim as both Warrior and Mage looks appealing to me.

I actually will be playing a Warrior type class, who may or may not embrace the magical forces. He has morals now and a grudge against senseless murders. Faren left a family killed due to these senseless murders.

The Nord has lost all, and seeks to restart. The Dark Brotherhood may present a problem.

I voted for Maybe in the poll. I do want to join the Dark Brotherhood, but I'm not going to make murder the first thing I do... I think I'll join the Mages guild first, and I'll build up from there. And if I do happen to murder someone along the way before I make it to the Mages guild, well...

I'm curious if it's the same for Skyrim as it was for Oblivion, all you have to do is murder someone, and then they come to you when you sleep. I've read that other people who murdered in the demo never got the message about their killings being witnessed by forces unseen, but maybe it was disabled for the demo.

Yes it will most definitely be the first guild I join. I will offer many souls to our dread father sithis and the night mother.

No, I'll join it later on.

First one is going to be the Companions for me.

I play a warrior so I figure the best way to break myself in and get a good feel for Skyrim will be to play the fighters guild.

I'll start with the mages guild and go on from there. I dont think i'd want to start skyrim as a murder.

My Breton female looks like Gandalf? But, there's no beard... At least not on her face. Whoah, off topic.

I wonder if there will be someone from the DB who is as smooth and sixy as Lucien LaChance. Boy did I like him.

I'm pretty sure all of us will start off as murderers. We kill bandits don't we?

I don't see any particular appeal in the Dark Brotherhood.

I'll probably join it with a character, but I highly doubt that it will be my first guild.

^This :hubbahubba:

Even though DB is by far my favorite guild, it may not be the first one I join on my first playthrough of Skyrim. Why? Because I'm not going to rush through any aspects of the game in the beginning just to do so. Although if there is a lonely, unsuspecting NPC just asking for it in the starting area he/she might find a blade in their back.

In subsequent playthroughs of Oblivion, my first actions were always joining the DB and Thieves Guild right away. I tend to do all the evil stuff first then clear my infamy and join other guilds and do the main quest.

It wouldn't be an RPG if the first quest you take doesn't involve rats somehow so it's the fighters guild for me.

Argonians should be the only ones allowed to join the Dark Brotherhood.

As a fellow Argonian, I can only endorse this! Shadowscales forever!

But anyway, when I join (not if, it's a given I will) will depend on how far along I am when I find them. I hope the missions are even more humorous and clever as they were in Oblivion. Easily my favorite faction except for the sorry state the story line ended in. Less handholding is always good too. Though I don't recall it being THAT bad in Oblivion. One of the better constructed sets of quests.

If the Morag Tong are around, it would be truly epic to have some good old fashioned assassins quarrels to resolve.
