I Have A Good Guess On What Skyrim DLC There Is To Come

Post » Sat Oct 01, 2011 10:10 am

My Prediction Of Skyrim's DLC (Small And Large DLC Included) :

  • It Will Be Larger Than Any Previous DLC from Oblivion To Their Fallout games
  • There Will Be 2 - 3 Expansions
  • One Of Them Will Be Expanded From Skyrim's Map. Another Province.
  • Extension And Additions In Perks Levels And Items
  • Continuation Of The Main Quest Storyline As You Continue The Role Of Dragonborn
  • Dragon Riding (Befriended Dragon)
  • More Dragon Types
  • Expansions Will Deal More In-Depth In The Lore And History Of Skyrim
  • Expansions Will Include A New Feirce Boss Enemy Counterpart To The Dragons,
  • A Major Expansion To The Game Will Be Similiar In The Gameplay Size Of Skyrim. Making It A Game Of Its Own
  • Extension In Guilds Storyline / Addition In Guilds
  • A New Threat Will Arise In Skyrim. (Typical DLC Story) But Will Be Taken To Larger Proportions
  • Another Possible Location Of An Expansion Will Be Taken Even Further North of Skyrim
  • Horse Armor

I didn't take a large amount of time thinking deeply about it, there's things I may have missed. I expect it will be larger than anything that has been done for DLC, and will be taken to a new level. Give Me Your Opinions.

Bethesda, I'm going to say this as plainly as possible:

I would pay $60 for a DLC that only does the following:
Removes forced 3rd person on horse riding
Removes 3rd person finishers

I would love for most or all of that to be in DLC but I doubt it will so I voted somewhat agree.

3rd person finishing moves has a toggle. Also, the horse riding thing will most likely be patched post release. relax, the got big fish to fry atm

And how exactly did you come up with all that? I really doubt all that would be in. So yeah, I strongly disagree.

All I can say is that you're setting yourself up for disappointment in Skyrim's DLC. Almost all of your "predictions" are fairly outlandish, none of it seems to be very well thought out. A "good guess" is generally based on patterns of past installments, or on some kind of evidence. Not what you think would be omg t0ta1ly ep1k.
I highly doubt there's going to be 2-3 expansions larger than the Shivering Isles, or add another Province. They generally save the Provinces for a full game.
Also, anything having to do with the Main Quest directly is another fairly high improbability, such things tend to be pretty finalized. New dragon types are unlikely, though that depends on how the Main Quest ends, and on what the purpose is for the dragons being there, as well as the dragon Lore that will be established over the course of the game.
And dragon riding wasn't put in in the first place for a reason, people need to just accept that the only way you're going to ride a dragon is to mod it in, or be eaten by a dragon and carried around in its bowels.

Good news a mod can do that for free. ;)

Well, I agree with you. People should first play the game and just then try to guess stuff... Because that is what people are doing: guessing. Horse armor? I doubt much, horse armor is a somewhat recent thing in history, and who said more dragons/tameable dragons is an option? Maybe you kill all of the dragons in Skyrim (or at least all useful ones), and maybe there is something connected with main story that prevents you from befriending dragons... Wait for 11/11/11, play the game, and around 1 month later try guessing with more facts and arguments. Just saying, you can disappoint yourself... Don't have many expectations, live the moment.

Solsteim, High Rock, or return to Morrowind would have my money. Just dont lock me in the other region once I get there like in some Fallout dlc
