Eric Northman = Nord Vampire

Post » Sat Oct 01, 2011 2:07 pm

The vampire Eric on the HBO series True Blood is frequently referred to as a Viking, which means he would most likely have been born in Scandinavia or Northern Europe.

Every time I watch the show I want to play Skyrim because I usually make my vampire character a Nord.

Now for some questions:

  • Which race do you usually like to play with as a vampire?
    • As I stated above I enjoy playing as a Nord. They are strong, tall and intimidating.

  • How do you usually play while you're a vampire? (Combat, role playing methods, etc.)
    • I usually do hand-to-hand combat and illusion spells. This time around I will consider also using daggers with some stealth kills.

  • Will every character in Skyrim move at the same speed? Is there a way to move faster? If not, do you think you will be able to move faster upon becoming a vampire in Skyrim?
    • Vampire mythology commonly suggests they have the ability to move much faster than any human.

  • From the list of perks, which perks would you consider choosing for your vampire character?
    • Here is a link to the perk list from Sammu: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1233644-sammus-eurogamer-qa/

Side note: I have always thought of Bill as an Imperial.

Being a vampire just plain...svcked (no pun intended) in Oblivion. If vampirism works the same way in Skyrim, I will stay far away from it. :bolt:

Cannot compare vampires from True Blood to Elder Scrolls vampires. Although yeah, Eric Nortman seemed like a nordic vampire, only skinnier.

Pretty much this. It's suggested that vampires do indeed svck... bite (wow, no matter what I can say about their svckyness it turns into a pun!) yet again this time, so I am already bracing myself for lameness of that magnitude!

There is Enchantments that can increase Speed, which i kinda like. it makes being Faster quite harder.
at least i heard it from this guy's Euro Game Experience, he found Boots that increased speed and the Gloves that did 15 Unarmed Damage.

Good. I'm also speculating that contracting vampirism will alter your speed somewhat.

There isn't necrophilia on the show. At least not in season one or two. I haven't started three yet.

w00t! True Blood is my favorite show!

Yeah, Eric Northman was indeed a Viking. His father was a Viking king of some sort. I never read the books, but in the TV show the vampire king of Mississippi murdered his family and stole his father's crown. And I definitely agree with Bill being like an Imperial since he usually wants to do good, and he was a soldier after all.

Now I want to create an entire True Blood cast. Sookie the Breton (since she's half faerie), Eric the Nord vampire, Bill the Imperial vampire, Tara the Redguard (she's a tough fighter), Layfayette the ? (I dunno, maybe dark elf since he's a medium), and Sam the Khajiit...cuz that's as close to a shapeshifter as I can get! It would be great if we could be werewolves too so I can make Alcide.

I actually never played a vampire before since it made the character ugly and the pros didn't outweigh the cons, in my opinion. I'll probably give it a try at some point in Skyrim though.

Lol that is a pretty good character to TES race anolysis. I would agree with Lafayette being a Dunmer. I haven't met Alcide yet though - I haven't started season three. I'm about to do so tonight.
