Will you listen to personal music while playing?

Post » Sat Oct 01, 2011 6:59 am

I remember being on the planes of oblivion listening to queen or system of a down on my old wireless turtle beaches and it was just sublime. it was so perfect to jam out while slaying daedra. it trully took me away to another world. i cant fully describe how complete i felt. anyways, im here on my ps3 which is notorious for the inability to play music while running a game which i was able to do on my original 360(went thru 4 cuz of rrod)......i bought the new official ps3 surround headset and i know skyrim is going to blow my mind! but there are times im sure im going to want to jam while i explore. Does anyone know if Or how i would be able to do so??????????? please i dont want turn on a radio ore use my mp3 player because i am strictly trying to listen thru my ps3 due to this kickas headset

I doubt it. "Real" music tends to take me out of the game and be a real immersion breaker. I'll take the in game soundtrack.

I can't even imagine listening to rock music while playing an Elder Scrolls game. :shocking:

I've added a few instrumental tracks to Morrowind and Oblivion from time to time, but they have been added as in-game music and chosen to blend in with Jeremy Soule's fantastic soundtracks as much as possible. Mostly I just listen to his original music. From time to time I turn music off too, and listen to ambient sounds, which are also nice.

Helllllllll no. When I play Skyrim, I expect to not be bothered, AT ALL. I want to fully immerse myself into the new world of Skyrim in peace.

A rock song would ruin it for me.

F03 did the soundtrack great with the beautiful songs that when i listen to on my ipod i go back to the greatest gaming experience of my life....

But if i tried listening to some classic jazz or vocalists wile playing Gears 3, my ass would explode and the devil would rise from hell to take over life. Just dosent work.

Probably won't listen to other music while playing it for a while. I didn't with Oblivion until much later. "Through the Fire and Flames" by Dragonforce really seemed to fit while I was going through the giant oblivion gate outside Bruma though.

Sorry, no. Rock music is the last thing I want to hear while exploring a quasi-medieval landscape.

I never listen to personal Music while playing an RPG, Especially not an Elderscrolls game, their music is always perfect for the games.

I listen to a game's music and sound while I play. I do not play other music when playing a game. I used to sometimes for MMORPGs but then with voice chat that disappeared.
