Went out and bought Oblivion today, and I'm trying to get some mods for it. I have OMM, but most of the really good mods require me to have all kinds of other stuff(like Deadly Reflex).

Can someone link me some good just general gameplay improving mods that don't require me to be a computer wizard? I'm looking for better bows, general skin, and animation enhancing mods, and some texture mods, that come in .omod format. I have the unofficial oblivion patch, but nothing else at the moment.

The issue is that Oblivion modding is a very active modding community. This isn't STALKER. As such there is a lot to it.

I would recommend though that you at least try to get two things installed ... one is OBSE ... and all you have to do is install it - no configuring required.

The other is Wrye Bash - which is a big learning curve on how to use it. BOSS wouldn't be bad either.

With those two (three) going the field is much more wide open as to what is available. Yes there is a learning curve and yeah it might take a few weeks to get up to speed, but very worth it.

OBMM and omods are still in use and only a few modders still offer things in that format. Search this forum and on Nexus for these names: Abo, Kuertee, TheNiceOne.

You will get better installs and more control over what is installed when using Wrye bash though.
