ok so i got the random encounter with the alien crashing but nowhere near normal encounters.i'm 3 squares left of megaton at the top left of the third square where it happened. i didnt see anything just heard the crash and then saw the ammo and the alien gun in the little canyon that is there. dont know if anyone else ever discovered this

a lot of people have, but some never have. The normal Alien Blaster is stronger than the FireLance, but the Firelance sets people on fire. Even though whenevr I use it, 1 shot kills occur so I tend to use the alien blaster if any.

It can happen anywhere at anytime although there are ways to cause it to happen, can not remember what they are though. It normally happens to me when i first visit the Anchorage Memorial hear the explosion go to the area where it happened and there is a gun called Firelance if memory serves... alien power cells and radiation nothing else. The ship itself is called crashed anomaly and is right next to the BIG power plant its easy to spot because it made a trail in the ground and there is a signal you can pick up that gets louder as you get closer to it. There you will see some alien body's a ray gun and power cell. also if you have MZ installed you will be abducted by the aliens.

Multiple times for me but I think it bugs allot.

Ive done entire playthoughs never happened once. Then I take my first steps in the wastes on a new one, "Bam" it happens.
