Maby a dumb thing to wonder about but as the topic says, I wonder if there are cut scenes in the game, in the demo and the trailer of the game it seams like there are some cut scenes within the game, or is it just my imagination? and if there are will that be a problem for a modder in any way, if that's the case? :mellow:

I don't think there are cutscenes, bar maybe an intro and outro for the MQ. I think what you're talking about is kill animations, which are definitely in the game.

They don't really have a place in an RPG anyway, they're the perfect immersion breaker in my opinion.

I assume that there'll be one at the beginning and possibly one at the end, I don't think there'll be any during the game.

Maybe one at the beginning and the end. Morrowind had one as the intro, one somewhere in the middle, and one at the end of the main quest. And there were a few cutscenes in Bloodmoon.

Oblivion only had an intro cutscene, I think.

Everything else I expect to be happening within the game itself.

At the end of Oblivion, you watch Akatosh/Martin fight Mehrune Dagon as a cutscene I think.

Also a cutscene at the end of the MQ. But that's all cutscenes oblivion had and I hope Skyrim doesn't have any more than that. Which it probably won't.

We don't know, Bethesda hasn't mentioned this. My GUESS - same as Oblivion, one at the beginning, one at the end.

Possibly something for the arrival of the dragons into the MQ but I believe that will be done real-time 1st person.

okay, was just a little anxious with thoughts of dragon battles, that they are related to some cutscenes in any way, (when you absorb their souls) for it could become a problem for Modders way I see it, if you eg. wanted to modding some of the reps with giant eagles or something else. and the same wonder I finnishing moves, when it comes to modding weapons. it must be very difficult to make spears and crossbow's for example.

I think there will be a couple, but not much, as it just eats disc space. Maybe beginning, end, and something in the middle, perhaps introducing Alduin etc.

Probably just beginning and end, maybe some dreams. It's not a typical cutscene oriented game. If they were to go that path, I would prefer Arma style, where the actual engine is used to stage and play the cutscene, rather than a rendered one.

Dragon souls are absorbed in the gameplay videos on elderscrolls.com - it isn't a cut scene.
