So, I can't find my main Oblivion folder. I go to the usual spot (Program Files/Bethesda) but all I can see is the "Oblivion Mods" folder. Game still plays as usual. No files are lost then, it's just not there . . . the only thing I changed since the last time I saw it was I turned of antialiasing, started the game, and took my first couple of screenshots.

Went to look for them, and the folder is gone.

EDIT: Just restarted . . . and the Bethesda folder is gone too! What's happening??

Right click on the short cut to whatever you use to start oblivion, and then click the 'find target' button. See where it shows up at.

Takes me to the right folder, but if I start going backwards, it's not there. For example, I click on "Open Location" and I'm in the Oblivion folder. But I go one step back and I'm in the Bethesda folder, where I only see the Oblivion Mods folder. Go one more step back and I'm in Program Files, but no Bethesda!

That is truly bizarre...... What O/S are you running? Are the folders marked as "hidden"???

You know, I figured it out - stupid mistake on my part. I went to properties and selected "hidden" at one point because I thought it was the same as the old "show hidden files" button. Nope. Hides stuff.

All fixed!
