Am I the only one that notice that....

Post » Mon Oct 03, 2011 4:06 am

I was just watching the gameplay demo part 3 after 10 times and I notice how much health that a single dragon can take away, it obvious that Toddy magically regenerates his health for his little show at E3 since It'll be a pain in the [censored] to die all the time, After this I think I'm scared of dragons... go watch it!

Anything else you notice in the demo?

Im just hoping that there will be some kind spell that will project a magical shield in front of you to stop the dragon breath. A sustainable spell that is lol

It's not as though the dragon will sit there and lift up his scales for a heartshot.

Isn't that the point? The Big nasty Dragons are back, If they had the health of a Mudcrab they wouldn't be that scary.

I think they said they drew inspiration from the Big Daddy fights in Bioshock when they designed how tough dragons were going to be.

They should be able to kill PCs easily if the PC gets complacent, or unlucky.

It is one of the things I'm most looking forward to. The fights with the big daddies in Bioshock were some of the most fun battles I've had in games.
high health, large damage, charging attacks that move at twice my speed, etc.

You know from the start that running in and gunning is a fools tactic. With a good strategy or a well laid trap, you could easily kill 2 or 3 at a time (I loved my trap wires ^_^).

With Skyrim they are evening the field with the ability to use dragon shouts but the dragons aren't supposed to be push overs in any way.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to tough fights vs. dragons. I think it's going to be a challenge of epic proportions the first time I encounter one (whether it's scripted in the plot or purely a random bit of bad luck for me) and I think it'll be a struggle every time after that, at least until I start nearing the level cap. It's honestly a nice change from the BS you'd get in Oblivion, where a tough enemy simply meant a matter of whittling down his life and occasionally chugging a potion.

Intelligent enemies are always more frightening and dangerous.

There's a spell for that!
In the leaked PAX gameplay on youtube there was a necromancer using a shield spell while machine gunning icicles from his other hand.
OT: Yea they're hard to kill so bringing them down will be all the more rewarding and that's simply perfect! :D

That would be fantastic, wabbajack a flying dragon and then you have a falling mudcrab. I'm guessing that if it does return dragons will likely be immune.

This.
I personally always imagined Dragons as a demi-god race, not just some simple animals (which is one of reasons why I dislike the idea of riding dragons).
Lucky for me, it seems that Beth also looks at them on a similar way. ^_^

I know it's a bit off topic, but if people like flying mounts, then I think that a griffin or a hippogriff would do the trick.
Also, one thing I dislike about Skyrim Dragons is that they look like wyvewrns.
I always imagined that wyverns are Dragon-like creatures who are, unlike Dragons, just big flying lizards, while Dragons are an actual and intelligent demi-god race.

You get killed in 2-3 shots by a dragon. I predict a lot of rage will happen here.

If they are not immune, could that mean something else we... um, "wabbajack" like a cow or sheep or what-have-you will have a chance to turn into a random dragon? And it that's true, I wonder how many of us will try it?

Rather doubtful, since I don't think dragons are considered anything at all like animals. Still... :teehee:

How about turning a dog in a city into a dragon :)
