Perfect Score?

What are the chances, do you think, of Skyrim getting a perfect 10/10 review score?

I'm sure a few mags/sites will give it a perfect. WIll the game be perfect though? Probably not. Will it be awesome? Probably so!

Not good, but not out of reach. Scores have a LOT to do with how much advertising a producer does with a certain place. Remember Cain and Lynch 2? Gamespot gave it a 6 and the guy got fired over it because they did a ****ton of investment there in adds. A lot of bad games get high scores and the only thing they have in common is a lot of advertising budget. I can't think of any game that spent a lot of money on adds getting a low score on a rating site. That said perfect scores are exceedingly rare, maybe once every couple of years. Skyrim will probably score 85-90 but not a perfect.

Not sure, the only thing that hurt previous bethesda games are bugs. So I'd say if the bugs are minimal then yeah it could get a 10.

Definitely over 90. But by the very nature of TES games it's probably impossible to get a perfect score. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who has absolutely no problem with any TES game. There's always at least that one issue that drives us nuts and it's different for everybody.

I always hate the term "Perfect Score" Because no game can be perfect. The one thing IGN does right is refer to it's highest accolade as "Masterful" rather than "Perfect" which is much more fitting.

As for Skyrim, I'm sure it'll get some 10/10's and 5/5's from some outlets.

I'm also sure it'll get some 3/5's and 7/10's.

There will probably be at least one butthurt person to give it a 1 or something abyssmally low. Probably a Dark Souls or The Witcher fanatic.

This is a stretch, I haven't played the game or had any hands-on time with it, but I'll ping the Metascore at around 9.6 at 6months after Release, especially because Metacritic is taking a harder stance at "Review Bombers" now.

Hardly. I'd say the biggest "hurt" was crappy animations.
