You are getting extra damage in exchange for not being able to block. A real fan of RPG's would be able to understand this without complaints.

I guess I'm not a real fan of RPG's then, just a real fan of being able to play the way I like, hence the reason I'll mod it in.

what's the point of you

lol he has a cool avatar. Seriously it is not right in my opinion that you cannot block with swords it seems anymore. They should have made it like Oblivion where you can block with your sword.

The whole thing about the attack speed is based on one ambiguous remark someone posted who'd played at a convention for 20 mins, without a character designed for DW. I just doubt it it correct. Not saying the attack speed is super high, but I bet it's higher than 1H. The power attack is also supposedly very powerful.

They should have made it like Oblivion where you can block with your sword.

You can't block with a sword if you have something else in your left hand. Otherwise you can.

Id just like to know y people keep claiming that duel wield lacks any kind of stratagy be it lacks blockin. pressing one button to mitigate dmg dosn't = stratagy. as a matter of fact the way that duel wielding is currently implemented is going to require stragagy becuse you are going to have to take full advantage of multiple skills to power up duel wielding to the point that you end fights quickly so as not to take damage. such as effectively enchanchanting both weapons properly apply piosons or effectively useing perks to maximize dmg or any combination of those options thats stratagey not mash block button.

@OP. You typed yes and I typed no. Did you ever wielded with two swords and block it at the same time in real life? Try it see how it is. Typed in the results. I am waiting in baited breath.
