As someone said on these forums in a similar thread:

"Let's not kid ourselves, these forums are what we use to pass the time. :P"

Impossible!
ever since i played Oblivion (first time i played the Elder Scrolls Games) my Standards for Games have Risen more than i could believe. although there isn't much games that can beat the Standards, Skyrim will! :tes:

standards for RPGs or standards for games in general?

for me i havent found an RPG i like since i played TES (apart from FO3 and NV)
but other genres are still open to me, like... well ok Forza has sorta done the same as TES has... although i still love Formula 1
shooters i like CoD... battlefield i dont like, nor do i like pretty much any other shooter...

ok... new topic...

how many games have you played that make everything else in its genre seem like [censored]

I, personally, am going to be having six. Copious amounts. And then Skyrim will come out. And I'll look at my [censored] like this, :sadvaultboy: and say "Sorry, pal. Just give it about four months, okay? Here, you know hand, right?"

Just reread Infernal City, reading Lord of Souls now. Very fast fun reads, both free to check out, cheap to buy. Thinking about trying Dark Souls, for now I'm playing Ninja Gaiden 2 because it's frustrating and satisfying and will be fun for about a month. I was having a blast with my new Oblivion mage but then I remembered how much I hate being above level 25

Finish the main quest in Oblivion after 300+ hours of avoiding it.

You should learn to play the keytar. 10 internetz to you if you post yourself playing the Skyrim theme (while chanting the lyrics, obviously).

I'll mostly be doing school work and be browsing the forums.

You know someone should really make a note of all these things. Give it 4 more years and we'll all be in the exact same position as we are now. May as well get a head start

Thursday 11/10 I will have class, I believe I have a lab practical that day, which is kind of a good thing as I'll be preoccupied with studying. In the evening I work from 5 to 9, and my co worker that night is actually into tes too, so we will probably be talking about it. Once I get off work I'm going straight to gamestop to wait for the release.

For some people it is easy to wait, but for some it is the part of life when you can't get sleep because of excitement. That's a person like me. The more I spend time on these forums, the more i get the eager to play skyrim:D So I came with a small list with things that can kill time I guess. But they might not be very effective and make it even harder:)

1. Try to learn Modding for Oblivion, or if you already can mod then make some to get a small warm up for Skyrim's modding community (pc)

2. Are you very creative, and have the time to make an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 Case mod, then Give it a go! Make your Console look Epic for the release!

3. Don't wanna spend much money? then simply draw Things! Like Maps, Fantasty genre, Manga, dragons, signs, faces and loads of more! are you not very good at drawing? Well it doesn't matter because every drawing is a piece of art in your own way:P.

4. A thing that is most common at work, school and more is Day dreaming. This can be about all sorts of things. Day dream a little about things you did in the past or gonna make in the future. Take control of your own mind.

5. Try to read a book. For people that don't like books, try to read one. The beginning is boring most of the time. but as soon as you are reading longer and getting into the story it is like you are inside the story!

Got any other idea? feel free to share it with me!

...I just got Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Well, there's Fallout: New Vegas (now that all of the major DLCs are out), then there's work, then there's Deus Ex: Human Revolution (new DLC due in a couple of weeks), then there's work, then there's replaying Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood (AC Revelations due right after Skyrim), then there's work, then there's a pile of books to read, and work, probably overlooked a few advlt beverages along the way and should backtrack to find those, then there's some posting on forums. TV collecting lots of dust; should probably do something about that in between all of the rest. Am I forgetting anything?...... Oh, yeah, sleep. All told, there's lots to keep me occupied.

Start a workout program; get some muscle and/or get in shape for skyrim.
Go out and do some hiking and exploring, you can envision you're in Skyrim or something
Do some odd jobs and make money

Don't waste the next month just sitting around waiting for Skyrim, make the most out of the time, and the wait won't be as bad.

...I'm starting to sound like an old man
