Too strong at level 1? Everything dies in one hit. : IV

I'm a Nord, Warrior sign with a one handed longsword + shield. I charge attack everything as that is my style. In one hit EVERYTHING dies except for shielded bandits. Is this normal?

What sort of sword do you have?

I find most opponents (bar highwaymen, for some reason) quite easy until level 5, so I presume it's something to do with level scaling :shrug:
