[Spoilers] Skyrim Achievements

Post » Wed Oct 05, 2011 6:34 pm

The standing stones achievements reminded me of something... we've seen standing stones in Bloodmoon, which was close to, if not a part of Skyrim. Is that why they put standing stones in Skyrim? That would be awesome.

It seems so, yup -- the "Quest of Aevar Stone-Singer" stones, etc., which appear to be a Nordic thing. Solstheim is extremely close, geographically, to Skyrim proper, and we're currently seeing lots of interesting Bloodmoon nods and tie-ins recently.

How is the companions related to "Blood Oath?"

We get an achievement for joining the companions and for joining the "Circle". They are clearly two different things.

Let's see, it looks like there are:
  • 7 main factions you can join and complete quests for (Companions guild, dark brotherhood, thieves guild, Imperial, Stormcloaks, the Circle and College of Winterhold)
  • At least 8 Main Quests
  • Dragonslayer is most likely the last main quest
  • It appears the Civil War is mostly in Side Quests
  • There are houses
  • 13 standing stones
  • At least 50 dungeons
  • AT least 100 locations
  • You can get married
  • There are Daedric Artifacts
  • You can Reach level 50

Pretty awesome set of achievements in my opinion :tes:

Well, last we heard the game had 150+ dungeons, so we apparently only have to complete at least 1/3rd of the dungeons to get the achievement.

Some of them kinda are, like if you read the achievement description for the achievement on the last Thieves Guild quest.

It is part of Companions questline. The very structure of the achievement list confirms it (we start with "Join Faction" achievement, continue into "Important Quest" achievement and end with "Final Quest" achievement).
In other words, Circle is a faction inside Companions, most probably its elite fighters (in Oblivion for example, during Dark Brotherhood questline you join the Black Hand).

I hope there are still some factions we haven't seen without achievements. I was hoping we'd have close to a Morrowind number of guilds/factions than an amount close to Oblivion's.

I like the possibilities of the choosing sides achievements, I hope that there are meaningful benefits and consequences tied to making that choice in the game world.

Well, you know you have the option of joining the Shield Brothers. That isn't listed anywhere in the achievements.

Shield Brothers = Companions. There was some confusion about who exactly was killing the giant outside whiterun. Some people said Shield Brothers, others said Companions. They're the same, though. That's just what they call each other. Unless there is some other appearance/confirmation of the Shield Brothers I've yet to hear about.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/elder-scrolls-v/achievements/

Seems very legit

Minor spoilers, Bethesda knows how to keep their game secret

Blood Oath become a member of the circle? Well it sound pretty self explanatory then. It is the new vampire guild.

lol at "master criminal"

because the sure sign of a master criminal is the inability to walk into any major population area without immediately being accosted by the guards :shakehead: .

other than that, some pretty interesting things in there; certainly better than oblivion's 30 achievements for each rank of each guild. some minor spoilers, but thankfully they were pleasant spoilers.
