Empire or Independance

Post » Wed Oct 05, 2011 7:18 am

So if you have the option in the game would you choose to help out the rebels or the empire?
It would be a cool like secondary main quest to like be part of the revolution. not a fable reference. ive never played it.

You do have the option, and the rebels are called Storm Cloaks. I choose to side with the Empire.

None, my characters go it alone, so I'm really really hoping there is no forced joining of either side.

Really it depends on how the factions operate. Can't say now, don't know. Not going to research it now either, want to be surprised. If Empire/Legion=NCR, and Stormcloaks=Caesar's Legion, than I will probably side with Stormcloaks. I'll figure it out when I talk to both sides, get knowledge on how they both operate, see how citizens react, basic moral standings. What it seems right now is that they both believe what they are doing are right, so that makes it difficult.

Another one already? Oh...

Won't know until I get to know them better, right now I hate both: It sounds like I will be choosing between a professional army that is now corrupt and oppressive or a force too weak to protect its citizens leading to takeover and then even worse corruption and oppression.

If I was forced to choose I would pick Imperials though because they are the practical choice and hopefully the new reign isn't that bad.
Stormcloaks sound more fun to play though. :D

Lets align ourselves with an empire that is crumbling! Sounds like a great idea! :whistling:

Anywho, rebels for me.

All depends on the who I roll (yes I'm rolling a dice to desided which of the chatacters i'm going to be out of my group of roleplays.) and even some of the rolls don't even touch the main quests if murder is evolved.

Here is all the info you need.
Spoiler
It has been confirmed, via http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/elder-scrolls-v/achievements/ that you can join either Storm Cloaks or Imperials.

Tactics:

Imperials: There tactics are well known, they prefer a heads on assault, and with there massive forces this is a suitable approach.
Stormcloaks: There tactics are that of secrecy. They participate in a strategy known as Guerrilla Warefare (This strategy is a hit and run type strategy, confusing your enemy). This tactic suits small, UN-organized groups such as these Rebels.

Spoiler
While helping whatever faction you prefer, you will be tasked with many assignments, and will go on Campaigns to take areas, such as a Fort, and a City.

These are not all fact, but from known knowledge from both Achievement list and Todd Howard, this is how i organized them.

I'll side with the good guys. If the two factions aren't clearly defined 'good guys' and 'bad guys', then I won't get involved at all. Not interested in fighting otherwise good people based solely on what amounts to political differences. If neither faction are clearly the villains of the story, then I hope the goal is reconciliation.
