I have tried to load the game at least ten times, at first it was messing with the graphics.
I can load all saves, but then after I try to enter a door that requires a loading screen, it runs till about the las second before booting to the next area, then says that "windows has encountered a problem and has to close"
I first uninstalled the game then reinstalled it.
Nothing...
Then I tried this
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Open Steam
2) Right click on Fallout: New Vegas
3) Hit Properties
4) Click the "Local Files" tab
5) Click on "Verify Integrity of Game Cache"
If that doesn't work, delete your ini files and repeat steps 1-5 ((did not try this cause I could not find the ini files))
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
about 3 times and after each one I booted up the game. I also defragged the files twice, still nothing.
I just got the Couriors Stash DLC. I also recentlly ported over to a new computer cause the other one was crashing due to driver problems and the screen was cracked.
I had been gifted the game by my fiancee, and short of deleting the game and buying a phisical copy, I am out of ideas.
I do not want the $40 that he spent to go to waste, but I am tired of fighting with it.
Can anyone tell me what is going on, or how to fix it?
