I simply want to know what racial power is better. I'm fairly new to the Elder Scrolls only having played Oblivion and didn't stray very far off the main quest. I didn't play an orc in oblivion because they looked cartoonish.

Well, in oblivion adrenaline rush was better..... as I said IN OBLIVION!
Explanation: berserk had many drawbacks, adrenaline rush had none ....... ,but still it was IN OBLIVION!
Extra advice: if the racial powers are even worse than OB, then I suggest you to choose from the looks alone! :blink:

adrenaline rush was a straight up powerboost.

Berserk boosted power too, but a nasty side effect of decreasing all your Agility. Your orc would get stagger easily. In older games it meant he wouldn't be able to dodge. Someone catch me if I was inaccurate.

Ahh yes, I have to say from my weeks of ingame testing of Skyrim on which ability out of the two are the most beneficial both in early game aswell as in late game I have come to the conclusion that Altmers racial power is more suited for magic than either of those two.

As has been explained, in Oblivion Adrenaline Rush was better than Berserker. It had pretty much the same positive effects, but none of the drawbacks.

That hindrance on berserk seems kind on extreme. Get hit and you can be staggered or even knocked down. Seems like a pretty severe penalty.
