Probably not, too much duplicating risk.

Welcome to the Forums!

And why would you want to drop gold?

To design my personal house ! I always loved little packs of gold spread on the tables. With the new oblivion physics it would be lovely <3

And, duplicating isn't a matter when you have a console ingame, that can grant every wishes :P

I'd make a pool like this duck :

I would love this. Being able to leave a room full of gold would make me feel rich and I always wanted to leave gold in bowls with the precious gems for decoration.

Roleplaying. I used to drop gold all the time in Morrowind. I make up my own stories and some of those stories involve paying NPCs gold, or having gold stolen by an NPC, ect. I simulate this by dropping gold on the ground.

It always seemed crazy to me in Oblivion that we had no option but to drop everything one item at a time. Logically, all that stuff we're carrying would be in some kind of backpack. Why can't we just 'drop inventory,' or 'drop pack', then pick it all up later? Two times stand out when you had to drop everything: once, before Harrow (you had to give him everything, so of course you just drop it first then double back and pick it up before following him, because you need weapons etc in the coming fight. And blundering around in the dark there looking for tiny objects, such as rings, was maddening). The second time was before diving into the well to get the Ring of Burden -- if you carried anything else, you drowned.

That would be good for laughs too.

I believe it was confirmed that NPCs will have various reactionary actions available when you drop items, such as attempting to return it you or fighting over it.

It would be hilarious to toss a few pieces of gold on the ground and watch the homeless scramble over it :D

Maybe it's different on console but I'm able to drop numerous items at one time on PC by holding my shift key. When I exit the menu thousands of arrows and pieces of armor and potion bottles all drop to the ground at once. ;)
