Whats so unique about the LR Grenade Rifles?

They seem to have the same stats as normal grenade rifle.

One is Heavy but Powerful, the other is Light but weaker than the other.

That power difference is only in if the grenade hits the target, which isnt common. That too is a difference of 10 or something.
