Skyrim UK release

Post » Thu Oct 06, 2011 5:05 am

Hiya, first time here on the forums (well I have been creeping about reading the Skyrim for the past week or so...yeah I'm watching you from under my bed :F jk jk)

Anyways, I was down by the supermarket a couple of days ago (TESCO) and I saw something that doesn't entirely make sense...

SKYRIM "Preorder now!"
"Game Released on 18 of November"

wait what?
It says on wiki it is released on 11, sounds pretty ridiculous to release the uk one a week after...although most releases dates on wiki are under something like this
USA (random date)
EU( European random date)

and so on. But wiki doesn't have that and I don't think Bet would release a game of this scale to just America.
I searched the internet and can't find any info, so I can't be sure. Since there are no other release dates on wiki I assumed the game would be released worldwide on exactly 11 november. Does anyone know for sure? This is really doing my head in.

He also says Xbox is superior to other platforms. Don't believe everything you hear.

Local distributors can do whatever they want. See Senega in the CIS, for instance.

100% the game is releasing worldwide on 11/11/11. Maybe TESCO aren't getting a release day shipment?

It will be released on 11.11.11 don't worry. You shouldn't trust Tesco for release dates, go into GAME or Gamestation and ask there.

He did.

Don't rely on Tesco, a supermarket, to be the place for your gaming fix.

Ignore tesco. And Asda. And Morrisons. Just trust the real game shops.

I was in my local Tesco supermarket today and didn't notice any info on Skyrim pre-orders, I had a look around the entertainment section too. Also put in my pre-order with Game today and their info stated 11-11-11 as the release day.

I think he said that Xbox is easier to develop games on, which it is. Nothing else, if not, provide a source please.

I was at the Tesco bakery once, and I saw that they had what was clearly a pastie labeled as 'a pie'. Don't trust Tesco.

Get it from Amazon, it's probably cheaper there.

Tesco are really inpredictable anyway, sometimes they post early and sometimes really late. Just stick with a shop that know what they're doing,...

Thank you for all the quick replies!
I figures TESCO fudged up somewhere, I was only in there for maps for a art project and while I was there in the middle of the night I thought "Ah why not? What harm could it do?" A lot of worrying and confusion, that what it can do. > . >

I never pre-order, I don't like the idea that they'll sell of my copy after 72 hours of release, and since I have a terrible memory I will probably forget and waste my money > . >
Anyways, thanks everyone :)
