Getting business done before skyrim

Post » Thu Oct 06, 2011 3:04 am

I can't speak for anyone else but I know that when Skyrim is released I will not want to do the "Honey-do" list that I currently have. I just won't have the time since it will be occupied with more important things to do.....like playing Skyrim. That being said, is there anyone else out that that is trying to finish up with as much stuff as possible so there are few interruptions when you are playing Skyrim? I know I am trying to finish sanding, staining and putting polyurethane my sons dresser, (not like its going to look like it once he gets a hold of it,) finish chopping wood, stacking said wood, and building onto my garage. As I said, I will have more important things to do when Skyrim gets here. my wife won't have to worry about me bugging her late at night anymore either

It's going to be hit and miss for me. I have artwork to get done, always working on new products, between days at work. I will of coarse find the time to play Skyrim, but it will undoubtedly cut in to the coin I make on my art. :P Small price to pay though. heh

Girlfriend's birthday is 11-11-11, so not sure how much time I'll get to play that whole weekend. Though she did say part of her present will be getting to play Skyrim on my computer, so I suppose I'll at least be able to watch. ;)

After that, I've got three days off work scheduled, during which I plan to eat, drink, and sleep as little as possible, devoting the rest of my free time to the game. My friends and family have already been warned that for those 3 days, I basically don't exist.

Im moving house at the end of October, beginning of November, so hopefully we are all unpacked and settled by then. The only thing is that we might not have internet set up so i wont be able to play it straight away. :shakehead:

I've yet to do some things before I'm ready to enjoy Skyrim...like cleaning again the interior of my PC and do a format c: I'm also considering ordering a nice bottle (or 2) of mead :D

Other than that, I've everything covered, food and (other) drinks included.

I need to clean my PC room cause its been closed up all summer cause no A/C in there and its just now cool enough to move back in it. I've been playing my PC on my couch with the monitor on the side table its killer on the back so will be doing that sometime before Skyrim. Also I supposed I should clean my whole house before then as well since we only have 36 days left.

Most likely make a run to the Costco for some snacks and drinks....

Either Meatball Hotpockets, Single serve pizzas, shrimp wonton soup or lasagna.

The other thing might be setting up a new monitor or busting some kneecaps over some loans :P

I should also refile the loose games and movies in my room.

Oh, that kind of business. By the way, you should remember to take regular bathroom breaks whenever you're playing a new game.

I've got some stuff to do like cleaning my room, because it has to be done and why not do it right before skyrim? Other than that I have to do a whole lot of work for school before skyrim, because I have to give a presentation at 11/11/11. I'm really happy I got that date so I have something to distract me during the last couple of days before skyrim, and have all the work done right when skyrim releases :tes:

Now that I think about it, I'm actually afraid that skyrim may arrive a day early, because if it does I'll probably have to keep it boxed, sitting right next to me on the desk while I'm rehearsing stuff. I don't wanna imagine how cruel that would be :shakehead:

Stores will definitely have it on the 10th, if not before, but they won't sell it to you before midnight on the 11th. Any retail chain that breaks street date for a major release like this can face some stiff consequences. That said, I'm sure there will be someone who has some early vids of it out on the 9th or 10th, but they won't be sanctioned by any means.
