Which Race Should Be Added Next? (if any)

Post » Fri Oct 07, 2011 3:25 am

So, which Race, Mentioned in Lore, other than ten already playable in skyrim, would play as? My Vote is For Ka Po' Tun, or the Tsaecsi, what's yours?

They shouldn't add new races, they should focus on fleshing out the existing ones more.

Lilmothiit, sload, falmer, or tang mo

Lilmothiit is the greatest beast race (who doesnt love foxes?) but they could vary well be extinct (that is supportedby the lore, but there could always be a discovery of a clan of Lilmothiit)

sload are just cruel, chaotic beasts (and all the other races hate them, i think) so i would welcome their return

falmer are not brainless animals (after years of being underground i can understand eye-less but not brainless)

the tang mo seem to be one of the strongst akavir nations (every other nation has tried to invade them, and the kamal try every time they [kamal] thaw out of the ice, none have succeded yet i think), and msot are considered insane

From the list Lilmothit but you missed the obvious addition, Goblins. They use weapons, traps, magic so they are obviously intelligent. It could even be worked into the story if TES VI is set in Summerset Isles.

Sload! Gotta love the concept art of them. Imagine them in game! Would be kinda odd though in animation and movement speed. More realistically it would be interesting to see the Imga, Lilmothiit or the Tsaesci.

The Aye's have it .

I would love to see how the Ayelids lived and get a better feel for their culture.

They can't even get the beast legs done, you want them to add a new race?

Idk, would you really want to be a [censored] eating goblin, How powerful could you be? Am I supposed to believe a goblin killed an Brown bear? a Saber-tooth? a Dragon?

Huh? What I mean is they should focus a bit more on making Redguard and Bretons a bit more understood as individual cultures and not just as different flavors of human. They should spend some time to develop the culture of Bosmer and Altmer to the degree that they delved into Dunmer so people don't just boil down two whole races to single words like "annoying" and "arrogant" ... There are so many places yet to go with the Elderscrolls franchise, there is absolutely no point in adding new races.

I'd Rather play as 5 or 6 of the races mentioned above than play as a Bosmer or Altmer, (hoping for a switch that aint happening), and yea the beast legs dont look, beastly ,but, who's says they wont in the next one, or if you buff up the Khajiit he might look Tiger-esque(sp) , ...Idk, I just dont like weak, and no matter how much footage I see, some races still seem like they personify weak

IF there is TES VI: Blackmarsh then I totally want kothringi, the native silver skinned humans of Blackmarsh. It would be interesting to run around the swamps as a tribal dude.

I play Altmer all the time, they are good mages and its cool to have a character that has a dark cultural background.

The only reason anyone would consider it a lost cause is because the representation of the race is crappy in the games. All they ever appear as is evil mages and the only thing that defines them beyond that is the little snippets of dialogue. In reality the player is told nothing about the race at all, but just hit over the head with the most basic stereotype over and over. Until Morrowind everyone was convinced Dunmer were evil and Altmer were good, but actually seeing the Dunmer culture and realizing that it had its good and evil parts, its own sense of morality and honor and so forth made people think about that differently. They need to do the same thing for other races that languish away as lame stereotypes.

Honestly...race mixes, like an argonian/kajjit if people in skyrim have opened up to gay marrige (I dont have an issue with that) then they should be willing to find love anywhere

They are in the game but so far have only been confirmed to be cave mobs. Will there be more to them? Idk.

I don't think they should really add anymore, I think what they have is fine but if I had to choose it would be Maomer and Falmer. I didn't know half of these races though.
