do you really believe the game is more than 200+ hours?

That would make the greatest buy ever!!!

I doubt it will last that long,you can literally play for months and still won't be able to finish(in my case,atleast a year).

Fallout: New Vegas lasted me 80 (god knows how I managed), and that wasn't even truly done by Bethesda. Oblivion, which has less than Skyrim, lasted me 200. I'm sure it'll have that amount, at the very least.

It will have much more than that, for me till the next TES comes out (about 5 years of gameplay). Also PC gamer article said it will take you about 1000 hours to get 98 perks out of 280.

Then the question comes to mind: I thought we figured the level cap was somewhere in the 70's ? Wouldnt that mean some 70 perks? Or is the person talking about getting 98 perks total over several characters?

I spent at least 500 hours with Oblivion. I spent even more with Morrowind, upwards of 700 hours. So Skyrim should, in theory, come somewhere between 500-700 hours. Well.... for me at least. I'm sure the average person purchasing Skyrim will spend 50-200 hours.... which is still better than any game that is not an MMO.

Nah they don't make games like that any more. You'll probably get 50 or so hours out of it.

I have no doubt Skyrim will be that long, and probably even longer. I've been playing Oblivion since launch and I'm still not bored of it, I'm still finding new dungeons and locations to explore, I've probably invested over 500 hours in that game on both the 360 and PC versions and I hope I'll enjoy Skyrim just as much.

Hmmm, lets see.

Morrowind = 2x 500hr+
Oblivion = 5x 300hr+
Fallout 3 = 2x 400hr+

Yeah, 200+ easy for Skyrim.

Sry I meant 93 not 98 (which means even more gameplay hours). I don't really know, maybe you're given a few free perks at the start or something ? These are the PC Gamer Skyrim Article statistics :

Number of Levels In Skyrim
50

Max Level (If you're insanely dedicated)
70

Total Perks
280

Number of hours needed to reach 93 of those perks
1,000

Damage multiplier for sneak-attack backstab
10

Number of Caves & Dungeons
150

Times I died during my 3.5-hour play session
5

I got about 800 hours each from Morrowind and Oblivion. But that was with mods...

I'll be very surprised (and disappointed) if I don't get 200+ hours from Skyrim.

There are probably 20 books or odd quests that give you perk rewards allowing more than 70 perks to be had.

You can probably blow through the main story in about 30 or 40 hours. But it's all the other stuff that will get it well over 200hrs. Not too shabby for 1 playthrough. And if your sick of online shooters like I am it's the best bang for your buck in entertainment.

200+ with no fast travel should be ok. I usually put 1000+ hours in a TES but that's with picking flowers, collecting things and taking them home, etc.

I played a little over 180hrs on my 1st character on Oblivion, and I've made a few characters... although the 1st (180 hrs) was definatley the most time I spent on em...

With mods, several years for sure.

There's always a "oh, what a nice, new mod they've just released! Guess I've to install Skyrim again...", believe me...
