Question regarding game edition

Post » Fri Oct 07, 2011 6:01 pm

To my fellow Skyrim brethren..

I am an international student in Germany, and I am planning to preorder (or not) Skyrim.
My question is if I purchase Skyrim from say.. GameStop. Will the game be a European edition, International edition (or something), or localized German edition?

I asked this because a couple of days ago I bought Oblivion Game of the year edition (I have never played shiv isles and knights of 9) to pass the month for only 10 euro, but it turns out it is a german edition of the game and I can't change the language to english.
I do speak a little german but well.. you get it..

I Apologize if it is already posted here (searched for around 10 pages, but couldn't find the thread, or missed it).
Vielen Dank in advance.

I have the same problem. I recommend buying the international version from amazon or some other place...

Best thing to do would probably to import the game from UK.

Amazon.co.uk is your best bet for a cheap UK version.

Though I'm not sure how this stuff works exactly with Steam. If you import an UK version of a game and activate it on Steam in Germany, does it count as the UK version? I know it's possible to download language packs and such from Steam, and I imagine the UK version wouldn't come with the German language pack, so maybe it's entirely in English...

Either way, the UK version should be much cheaper for us Euro people compared to the local retail price.

They always sell the international (English) version in The Netherlands (there's never a Dutch version), so maybe if your close to the border you can pic it up there?
