Hi, In one of the older Skyrim videos, I remember Todd mentioning that on the PC there will be no limit to texture size. What exactly does this hold in? Surely there is a limit?
Yeah pretty sure this is gonna get locked, due to the fact that unlimited texture "size" doesn't exist. If you're referring to texture detail, then you better fix your post before it gets locked.
I've never heard any one say "Unlimited Texture size" for anything, not even in real life (Scientists Deduced the universe has a finite resolution of around 67,000,000,000 x 67,000,000,000, which alarmingly gave some credit to "Matrix" style existential theories)

So reality is 67.000.000.000x67.000.000.000?
And which level of AA does it have? 320000000000x?

Lol
Anyway, Unlimited texture size sounds a little too crazy, Though Hi-res texture packs will eventually be available. If not by the devs, it'll be by the modders

Maybe he was referring to the max texture size actual GPU's can't handle, and the fact most of them have actually 1 GB of dedicated memory, or even more.
Anyways, if the PC version has hi-res textures (it's supposed that it'll have them indeed), I'm already happy.
