Greetings! How are you all today?

I recently purchased Fallout New Vegas for the PC and, upon hearing from many people that there are a number of bugs and glitches in the game, decided to wait to play until I patched it. Problem is...I don't really know much about computers. At all. And I'm horrible at downloading extras and patches. That's where you all come in!

I heard that the company made some patches for the game, which is good, but I have literally NO experience in downloading extras for a game. First of all, what do I need to download? And what would I need to do after that? Is it hard to do, or is it pretty easy? Seriously, I'd appreciate all your help. And I don't need any extra missions or the like; just the free kind of patch that fixes all the bugs and glitches(hopefully there is one!).
