Stop Right There, Companion Scum!

Post » Sat Oct 08, 2011 10:27 pm

In Oblivion, NPCs couldn't surrender to guards. This made it so that followers would be eventually killed no matter what if they fought against guards. In Skyrim, I want NPCs to be able to surrender and go to jail instead of being killed. This would make the game better from both a gameplay and logic perspective.

What do you guys think? Discuss! :toughninja:

Me and my companion walk out of the dark alley and onto the street after breaking into someones house; not two steps and we hear "STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM!". Knowing the house we entered ended up being completely devoid of loot, and the only thing we took was a few slices of salmon, I stoped where i was and prepared to pay my 5 gold fine. My buddy though apparently didn't see things the same way and pulled out his dagger and charged the guards only to be cut down in seconds. It was then i vowed to join the Dark Brotherhood and avenge my companion by murdering those who killed him. Only one problem all the guards have the same name...

Yes i would like it if my companion used his little AI brain and only picked fights he could win.

Uh idk, I dont think it counts as combat in Oblivion unless you resist arrest. I wouldnt mind a "Only fight back if Player attacks" sort of setting though.

I'm actually hoping my companion will run for it/escape, and then bail my ass out.
