I think it would be cool to become an evil mighty wizard like Mannimarco. He did appear human even when he was a lich so it could kind of work like a werewolf disease if you think about it. Mannimarco was a mighty necromancer, but the champion of cyrodiil (coc) had no problem in defeating him. Dovakhiin will probably be even stronger than coc so I don't see how he can't be even better in magic than Mannimarco or at least reach the lich form.

Not quite. A necromancer raises the undead through physical means while a Lich is a self made undead.

liteches and wear bears! but yea the ability to become a litch would make an interesting story twist.

The idea has always appealed to me more than becoming a vampire or a werewolf.
