No, your character (unless an uber mage) is probably dead from old age, Skyrim is set 200 years in the future.

EDIT: (also maybe if you completed shivering isles, but still no.)

As far as I know, nope. Because basically there were no particularly big choices that would change the lore. No matter what, the outcome of the game would be the same, so there's really no point. If you mean continiue your character in Skyrim, that wouldn't be doable either, as Skyrim is set 200 years in the future, and nobody (say for Telvanni wizards and a few selected others) lives that long.

even if the old cahracter was an elf i highy doubt he would go to skyrim of all, freezing, places (after all most elves have insanity that would likly get them killed/have a supiriority complex that would prevent them from visiting the "lesser race" of nords)

1. The game is set 200 years after Oblivion.
2. The game has a different kind of stat/skills system, so your char would not be like the char you had in Oblivion.
3. Why the hell would you want to do this anyway? You can just make a new character with the same name and appearance. Or do you really want to start with a high level char?

Do you know how much time has passed since Oblivion? 200 years, it's very silly to think that your character would've survived.

You might survive that long if you're a powerful Mage, a vampire, or an elf.

Its really not that silly if you know the lore. Particularly when you consider the unusual nature of the PC.

Even ignoring any lore based reason... Oblivion has a very different character structure, with attributes, class and no perks. Not to mention different leveling and stat (health etc) effects, so I do not think that actual characters could even be moved.

EDIT: As a comparison, look to MS and MS2, where generally it is easy to use a character from an old game because the 'structure' remains the same.

I've only ever seen maybe 2 or 3 franchises EVER do this in the industry's history and all of them had static main characters that continued on through each progressive sequel. It makes absolutely no sense to expect this sort of treatment from a Bethesda game which has NEVER been a direct sequel to it's predecessor.

First of all, welcome to the forums. Ignore all the useless posts, some people on these forums seem to forget that not everybody is up to date on Skyrim news and not everybody is a lore junkie. As for your question, no the transfer save feature is not in Skyrim, mainly because it would not function very well in an open ended game, unlike Mass Effect where the games are designed to all tie together nicely. Hope that helps.
