Removing Classes was a good thing?

I'm super excited about the lose of classes. Why lable yourself, your now good at what you use the most and if you wana call a sword wielding destro thief a warlock or a 2H mace swinging resto a paladin but now it's not a get go +to blah blah blah, you gota put effort into it, you you can get perks but perks wont mean too much if your skill level is 5. I'm really proud beth stepped away from the lable maker and allows us to pick and choose how we want to play with the restrictions of "Well damn it all to hell, I chose wizard but spells svck and I wana swing a sword, let me reroll" 10 min later "DAMN, forgot to take heavy armor, lemme reroll..." ECT.

"Removing classes"

"One of the best things they added to the game"

In what world does this make sense?

Anyway, I like the change. The previous class systems forced you to grind

Classes were just templates. I rarely used classes anyway. It doesn't even have any use in-game, it's not like NPCs walk around saying "greetings spellsword" or "good evening bard".

I can't figure out whether everyone in this topic is trolling, and I'm just not catching on. Or if they are actually serious (God forbid).

I guess Bethesda knows what it's doing turning Skyrim into an action/adventure game. It obviously caters to the masses, just being able to pick up and play, not thinking about your character or playing strategy or anything.

It's a shame. I will miss actual RPGs like Morrowind, but polls like this just encourage Bethesda even further that people want a simpler, more straightforward action game with less thinking and planning.

Why isn't there an "I don't care" option?

Besides who the hell even used the classes? Most people just chose custom class at the start anyway.

I'll have to play it to see. One one hand, a classless system is more elegant and natural. On the other, it seems that it may force you to focus on combat skills more heavily than some players would like. With every skill contributing to leveling, a character focusing on non-combat skills could find themselves in a bind as the games scales to their advancing levels rather than their modest combat capabilities.
