Problem with Joining the Stormcloaks?

Post » Sun Oct 09, 2011 10:20 pm

So if you can either join the Stormcloaks or the Legion, would joining the Stormcloaks possibly jeopardize your alignment with Esbern? Seeing as Esbern is the last of the Blades, whose purpose was to guard the Emperor and his family, would Esbern become less of an ally to your cause?

The blades and all things Talos are being hunted by the Empire, thus why Esbern is one of the last. If anything, Esbern's gonna be a rebel.

The blades were specifically aligned to the emperor, they have no affiliation to the legion. So no it shouldnt cause problems.

It's the Stormcloaks that are hunting down the Blades though.

The Blades protect Divine Right emperors, not ones that say "screw waiting, I'm going to control this chaos and prevent another 2nd era." Plus, the Medes have a different spy organization.

Also, it's very likely the Blades would be hunted down by the Imperials for worshiping Talos, or at least aligning themselves with the previous empire and not bowing to the new empire (which wasn't created by a Divine Right emperor)

Yes, this is why.

Esbern, as a Blade, has no affiliation with the current empire.
