I wanna play one in Skyrim.

so how do you really play one with strong combat and strong healing spells

and do they work good and are they fun to play

why of course, you just... pick your spells and pick your weapons and armor and use em as you wish, game will handle the rest for you, then you can choose to focus on levelling your combat and armor skills or your magic skills by clicking on stones... simple as that, use restoration magic, swords and heavy armor and block, you'll be a paladin as soon as you have that...

its just as valid as anything else really, this game is all about being whoever you want going wherever you want and doing whatever you want. so just do it... everything is fun to play and everything works good.

I dont really know how they'll be in Skyirm, being that I have not played the game.

But idk I dont like the way it worked in Oblivion, the way if you chose intelligence it messed up endurance and you had to choose between a stealth/magic/melee character.... kinda svcked

But I think Skyrim will be great. You can just play like you think a paldain would and you dont have to worry about messing up at the beginning or what is right and wrong.
