All Skyrim has to do is be slightly better than Oblivion and

Post » Sun Oct 09, 2011 10:50 pm

I've recently started playing Oblivion again and have become completely enthralled with the game, yet again. I've put so many hours into it and yet it still is just as entertaining and relaxing to play as always.
This is why I'm so excited for Skyrim, I could give less of a [censored] about any of the negatives that most people complain about, because I know this game is easily going surpass Oblivion in pretty much every element of gameplay, story and graphics etc. that it will easily take the position of one of my favourite games and I can't wait to sink hours and hours into it.

Anyone else feel this way?
Seriously although there is a lot of hate for 'vanilla' Oblivion, I still admire the work that went into it and am amazed at how much better they seem to have made Skyrim. Even the name is more appealing IMO.

To be fair, we've had Radiant AI in three games now.

It's not that amazing.

I think we all feel this way. That doesnt mean that we arent also going to mod the snot out of it when we our greasy little paws on the toolset. Vanilla is called that "vanilla" for a reason. By itself it tastes pretty darn good, but add a few spinkes and some hot fudge, and it becomes the basis for a funking amazing icecream sundae when made to order. I suspect that Bethesda may have out done themselves in the eyecandy dept, so aesthetics modders will have thier work cut out for them if they want to "add" anything to the game. Gameplay modders may have alot more to work with, but we'll have to wait till well after 11.11.11 to get a clearer picture.

I never said anything about Bethesda. I said games with Radiant AI.

Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas. That's three games.

I'm sure it will, theres already way more stuff announced for it, its going to be awesome. A few things removed but theres way way more new stuff to outweigh that negative.

I know, this is exactly why I know it's not going to disappoint, the VA especially is probably the most important improvement they've made (at least for me)

I know, even after playing for years I still don't think I've seen a good half of what Oblivion has to offer (although most of the stuff I haven't seen are caves and ayleid ruins that are kind of pointless, but still, it's impressive).
