A so called "Skyrim Beta"

Post » Sun Oct 09, 2011 10:13 am

They would never do an open beta. Open beta's are 99% of the time multiplayer. Singleplayer beta's give away too much story, while all that multiplayer ones do is give away a map or some game mechanics.

There will NOT be a beta for Skyrim. I bet my life on it.

I don't doubt that. We were simply stating our opinions and the fact that nothing is impossible, and that means it could be leaked or a disk somehow stolen. No reason to bet your life on it. Lol

Tell you what. Why don't you go ahead and do that for us. Let us know how it works out.

If I was at my pc I would. It's quite simple and has already been done. All you have to do is test the file BEFORE you download it.

That because you're simple minded. ;) but it's ok, a lot of people share that perspective.

I think its pretty obvious that its fake if it was on an alternative website which uses a certain type of software begging with T and ending with t then It would be more believable also if it was on multiple websites and confirmed by other websites (gamespot, neoseeker, gameinformer, ign, etc) that someone has uploaded copies of skyrim we would be more prone to believe

Agreed, but like I said it's simple to test it.

Well of course it is man. You guys are missing the point that it's not impossible and should ALWAYS be tested and confirmed. :)

There is no need to test it, it's a fake.

If there was a leaked build of Skyrim it would be all over the news in a big way. It's a scam to make money with CPA, and they do this with any popular game to get svckers. Don't mess with it.

I would test it on my virus computer (I test the severity of viruses etc) but I don't have much internet left and I disassembled it

You're obviously missing the point. Lol we know it's a fake, we knew that by the time we seen the thread topic. Haha..

I think you're missing the point of the thread. The guy asked if a website advertising a free Skyrim beta was legitimate and this whole thread has been debunking this by saying that BGS has said there will not be a beta. However, a copy will inevitably be leaked, but leave the testing to Beth's QA team.

Then why are you saying it should be tested and confirmed then?

Why do that when we can simply take it into our hands and test it with the click of a button and get this out of the way? Not since in waiting for them, while there is a possibility that people without virus detection software could have their computers totally demolished.

Not all of us have anti virus software or want to risk our HDD's and sometimes viruses can be more severe and sly then expected

Never place too much trust in your virus protection. It's great to have, but there isn't a virus scanner out there that will catch or detect everything.
