NO LONGER For the empire!

So I was planning on supporting the empire....Then I realized two things:
1)
Spoiler
The empire is executing you

2)
Spoiler
Esbern, a friend you make early in the game is a rebel.

I think I have changed sides. Of course, I won't really know for sure until I play the game. What side do you think you will be choosing?

I'm also considering just sticking with the empire (in which case,
Spoiler
I will count the execution was just a big misunderstanding, or I am crawling back to them even after they abused me) and betraying esborn by giving him a slow painful death. :)

I am completely surprised that everyone didn't know these things already and therefore i did not think of them as spoilers but sorry.

I'll probably go rebel, because the guards were too stupid to notice the blood on the bosmer's hands when he told them I killed my parents. I think he might've been related to Glarthir.

It's as much of a spoiler as reading the back cover of a DVD case.

Your joining the rebel faction because of one NPC wants to be your buddy? Screw that, if this is anything like NV I'm going to bait switch them both to get as much cash out of thier asses as I can get. I hope Esbern has some nice cloths cause I'm going to cut off his :teehee: and rob his ass blind and watch him float on down the river, teach him to try and make friends with someone who busted out of prison....

The rebels want to use you for their cause... They are desperate... They may act welcoming at first, and you may agree with their cause at first... But in truth they need you whether you agree with them or not... So my warning to you is tread lightly... Don't get in too deep... You just might be unable to get out again.

I don't like the Empire like I use to maybe its because its not controlled by Uriel Septim and the Septim dynasty anymore

Dont worry, I'll be very cynical. I'll probably sway back and forth until something stupid happens and one side hates me, or until I just really like one side more enough to support it fully.

And i will join the empire, also because Michal Hogan will act as the commanding General for the Imperial Legion.

I am unsure who to support. Aegir has been hung out to dry by the Empire before, but he believes that Tamriel is stronger united.

On one hand, he does not believe the Medes are doing a very good job and are little more than tyrants and on the other hand he was loyal to the High King of Skyrim and he shares a rivalry with Ulfric Stromcloak.

The Empire died with the Septims. I wander how much control we actually have though on the future of Skyrim in terms of who is ruling, I'm going to guess that when the Dragons appear you have to join the two sides; but the whole capturing achievements made me really giddy...

People don't want to know spoilers about Skyrim, they want to find out by themselves, stop being rude to people.

If they REALLY wanted to find out for themselves, they wouldn't be on this forum...And everyone knows they can't resist clicking the spoiler button anyway. So even if there HAD been spoiler buttons when those people came in it would have been ruined for them either way and WE ALL KNOW IT.

You are a pawn of the Empire... Brainwashed and taught who your enemies are... You must think for yourself... You must decide friend from foe outside away from the Empires influence... I warn you so when the time comes you may make the correct decision... All life depends on it.

Meh, I'll probably return, plot a little conspiracy to have whatsoever Empire agent who put me in prison executed herself, and THEN I'll go on my merry way and forget the whole thing even happened between me and the Empire ^_^

Maybe he just sincerely wants to see people doing good in life and likes to help them? What if he's secretly the nicest person on the planet and you do that to him? :violin:
