Skill trainers?

Post » Sun Oct 09, 2011 6:42 pm

Did quick search but didnt find any info...
Anyone knows anything about it?

Considering how easy is to get rich in TES, they are just power leveling tool even if they act as good money sink(imagine other RPG where you can buy your next level without getting xp for it, and also having enough money to make money worthless :brokencomputer: )

I wouldnt mind if they are limited to 1-2 skill levels per trainer(that would make them walking skill books kinda :read:  )
Maybe make them one time quest rewards?

They haven't released any information on those yet, so no idea.

But they already limited training sessions in Oblivion, so I would imagine that mechanic stays in.

Also, if they're that much of a concern to you: don't use them.

Yea think trainers are in. Never been a fan of them myself. Remember in morrowind they had no limit on how much you could train, get rich and every skill maxed in seconds.

Only thing left to find out then is how they work...

I dont want them removed, I just dont want them to be quick and cheap way to top!

I remember either one of the people here on the forums or maybe a reporter from some website mentioned a bosmer trainer in Riverwood who trained in Archery when they went to the London expo.

There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that you'll become uber rich like in the other Elder Scrolls games. It's a new game entirely. That being said, I've always thought it would be cool if they actually did some kind of teaching. Like when you paid them, they'd actually take you to some back room type thing and help you practice. This could actually teach new players how to fight. Somewhat like the Arena, only better, because the trainer could talk you through the different things you could do with your weapons.

There's also training as a quest reward, like the love triangle in Riverwood, mentioned in several articles.

I have never used a trainer in any of the previous games, so it won't matter to me if they are in or not. Levelling is already too fast as it is.
