Psychic abilities of the law in Skyrim

I don't know about the rest of you but the main thing that pissed me off in Oblivion was that if I had killed an NPC in total solitude, away from anybody (e.g: a legionaire forester, a lone guard, Valen Dreth) the authorities knew instantly and I had a bounty immediately. When I killed Valen Dreth as part of a mission for the Grey Fox I got kicked out of the Mages guild instantly because he was a member. even though there was nobody to witness or report the crime.

I want Skyrim to have a shorter cry-distance or eliminate it altogether for stealthy kills as well as implement a 'buffer-period' feature whereby if nobody who knows of a crime is left alive before they report it to the authorities there is no bounty. This will make killing an NPC in the middle of a town challenging whereby a single witness would spread the news extremely quickly but make killing a lone NPC in the wild more realistic (no witness, no crime).

And I know you could have installed a mod to help fix this in Oblivion but frankly if the developers don't think this is worth changing for Skyrim I don't know what is. It leaches away immersion and realism from a fantastic game.

Someone will explain it better, but I think the system has developed since Oblivion. Heck, you can kill witnesses now to keep your identity safe.

I believe crime is now regional, if I read that correctly somewhere.

Guards are easier to kill (their are normal guards and then their are elite guards who are stronger and tougher).

Skyrim is seperated by regions and each city controls 1 region.

When you commit a crime it has to be reported by 1 or more witnesses for guards to react.

If guards are alerted to a crime they will mark you as wanted so that other guards in other locations are aware.

Even if you are wanted by the law from 1 region you can travel to another region and they wont be looking for you. However by doing so you may get bounty hunters on your tail.
