Blunt or Blade : V

Hello everybody! I am not sure if there is already a similar post and I apologize if there is but I was wondering if you prefer to use blunt or blade weapons? Personally, I always preferred blade over blunt.

Depends, I like Axes and since they are technically neither Blade or Blunt weapons I did not vote

Blade had more immediate use in Oblivion. There were more types, governed daggers (Which I never found a reason to use even on thieves, why bother when you have a sword?) and generally weighed lighter. Blunt weapons were harder to find, were slower, weighed more, and didn't even have a good weight to value ratio.

Possibly fixed in Skyrim, we shall see.

It depends on my character, but I tend to use swords more often. However, I really like the way blunt weapons feel. It's much more satisfying to crack someone's skull with a hammer than to slice them with a sword.

Blade. Blunt weapons don't really suit the kind of characters I tend to roleplay.

anyway on topic, i would prefer the blunt weapons, something about them makes me feel like they are more destructive then blades.

I have a few character concepts that use blunt weapons, most are blade weilders though. So I voted blade.

I like blades because they are generaly more deadly thenn any bludgoning weapon, cuts willmake you bleed to death, bruises will hurt for a while

Blade seems to have more style and seems more appropate for most of my characters. Maybe that's beacause I fence and do kendo in real life though.

You may realise it, but just in case, the skills have changed. It's one-handed and two-handed, not blade and blunt, in Skyrim.

Really it should be:

1st question - 1 Handed or 2 Handed

2nd question - Axe or Mace or Blade

EDIT: I prefer 1 handed blade, but I will be doing a dual wielding axe holding brutal shock troop style warrior, who uses rituals before the battle (be they buffing shouts or alteration) that aims at killing his mark before their effect die down.

I vote Blunt. (that's oblivion for axes, right?)

Axes can be used for everyday life. Splitting wood. Cutting sails. And in combat, I tend to idealize frenzied warriors of momentum.

This poll is still relevant because perks actually do specify weapon-types when it comes down to things, so it is a good idea to pick favorites in Skyrim. That being said, I am a fan of both and they both have their advantages/disadvantages, it all really depends on the type of character I play.

I honestly prefer Blunt, as in Axes mainly. I freaking love axes.

But the TES games seem to favour swords, so I generally tend to use them instead.

I do not see much of a game difference between Short and Long swords. I can see good reason to include daggers though! *stabby stabby* :poke:
