About combining spells...

I think this idea looks really cool and I can't wait to unleash combined fireballs on enemies.
However, can you really combine all combinations of spells? How would a fire spell and healing spell work together? Would it just heal you at the same time as shooting fire?
There could be some really weird combinations if it works like this, or is it only confirmed that you can combine spells of the same type, e.g. combine two destruction spells, two alteration spells etc.

You can't really "combine" spells. You can just put the same spell in both hands to cast a more powerful version of that spell.

This.

Todd was considering adding combination of different spells but they never got past concept stage for I'm assuming design reasons.

Really, because I though I read somewhere about how someone combined a fire and lightning spell and how awesome it looked?
So, when you have a different spell in each hand what do you think will happen?

Yeah, when I first heard the idea I was thinking it meant combining spells like in Dragon Age. But like they said above, it's just the same spell in both hands to enhance its effects.

You can cast both spells simultaneously.

he probably shot both at the same time, but as for holding down the triggers and combining them that is not in the game

I guess it's because some combinations would not make sense. Like a fire spell and a frost atronach summon spell. Will you get a puddle of boiling water?
