Well...this is of course a very biased poll and therefor completely useless in any factual way.

But let's view this through the tinted glasses of Hollywood...who would be the hero, the villain, the witty side-kick etc.

The good guys would be an Imperial, a Nord, Wood elf, redguard and high elf. Respectively a noble knight, a silent but wise warrior, a sneaky hunter, a funny but honorable sailor and an old wise wizard.
On the dark side would be (well the others) a dark elf, an orc, an argonian, a khajit and a breton. Respectively a sadistic but clever spellsword, a rather thick orc barbarian, a comic couple of assassins and a devious sorcerer.

No doubt the last two standing would be the Imperial and the Dark Elf...and it would indeed be an epic battle. However...seeing as it is Hollywood, the noble Imperial knight (with whom we can all relate) prevails and saves the damsel in distress.

I voted Nord though...I'm Danish...

LOL your views on the good and bad are funny. How are the Altmer good? They are probably the most evil of them all with everything considered. Wood Elves are cannibals. Nords are racist to all Mer and nearly eradicated an entire race of Mer known as the Falmer. Redguards came to Tamriel by slaughtering everyone in their way. Imperials forced everyone else to become a part of their empire

A Dark Elf can be good as well as bad, some are slavers and some abolished slavery. Orcs are misunderstood and mistreated by every race, they are actually nice and rude. Argonians were enslaved regularly for hundreds if not thousands of years. They also are controlled by alien tree beings called Hist. Bretons tried to kill the Orcs and they have a lineage of noble knighthoods and all that. Khajiit are neutral if anything in my opinion. They just need to lay off that Skooma. Really none of the races are evil or good. They all are both and none. Each has an equal chance of being evil except for the Argonians. If the Hist say do bad things well...they probably wouldn't because they must be benevolent for co-existent purposes right?


Give me an example of someone who does not act as I described.

Now that I really think about it. Nazi is probably a good way to describe the Altmer in the Summerset Isles.

Breton was obviously the best until they changed them for Skyrim. Magicka Resistance + Magicka Bonus and no weaknesses. Now High Elf is the strongest because it's the only race with an actual offensive bonus that doesn't need to be activated and they have lost their weakness

i actually just wanted to see which race i should consider more when i play skyrim.. doing a massive poll like this along with the secanrio lets me see which races are favorites as well as specific examples from the lore for instance i never even thought about bretons or bosmer ..i never gave them a second look now i will.. ya i need a sense of worth and a game forum site... hmm lol i got a little bit better things to do but that was cute :thumbsup:

lol no actually this is working out nicely except for some people saying i am hungry from attention lol whatever works i guess.. obviously i am biased towards dunmer but i plan on playing skyrim five times..
1. Jack of all trades - Dunmer
2.warrior -Orc or Nord
3. stealth - khajjit
4. magic - was originally high elf but all the breton talk got me thinking
5. whatever i liked the most- for the race its the outcome of the poll

well imperials could not own blakcmarsh, it is "only an imperial province by name", and its been 200 years since the (true) empire collapsed, now it is a hollow shell of what it used to be

and argonians could do things the imperials could not do (fight dagon alone)
