DLC Hounest Hearts Refund?

Post » Tue Oct 11, 2011 12:37 am

having just downloaded Hounest Hearts (360 NOT Steam!) and finding myself unable to play it because of an apparently very well known (for those who have already downloaded it!)... and old issue where you cant move once you enter the DLC, is there a way of claiming a refund of sorts?

and id have to ask, why is this DLC still available for sale if its unable to play? and why hasnt anything been done about it? most common post i come across is an official stating there working on a patch last May? Makes you wonder how much money theyve made from this in that time and still havent done anything about it...! Fallout, awesome concept, and although New Vegas isnt half the buggy nightmare '3' was, little things like this shouldnt be a problem, and should be sorted quicker than this considering the money your still making from it.

please fix it or take it off the shelves, your basically conning and robbing fans at the moment.

*edit... having left the game just running in the background while i was off looking for fixes for this bug WITHOUT having to load to and earlyier save before ED'E, i returned to find myself able to move and play!.... BUT the characters that start infront of you, erm Jed, Stella and a couple of others are all a little further on and dead... being fired upon by some white legs storm dude thing dressed as a tree... are Jed and Stella important to the DLC, should i have spoke to them, or does it matter that there dead and can i just play on trying to ignore whats just happened?

It's called 'a scripted event'. And is meant to be like an ingame cinematic.
It's supposed to be like that, so don't worry :)

About the refund question: I don't know, I think you need to see what Microsoft's Xbox-policy is, I guess?

Few things.

GRAMMAR is atrocious! It's HONEST not hounest. It's also, EARLIER not earlyier.

Second, it's a scripted event, they are supposed to die. And yes, as it's been said don't shoot Follows Chalk across the bridge. In fact, holster your weapon. It'll save you some aggravation.

Thirdly, LOL, you want a refund? Did you even bother reading the EULA before purchasing the DLC whilst at the XBOX Marketplace? It's clearly stated, "NO REFUNDS FOR THIS PRODUCT".

Same. Also while you slightly have my pity OP there's not much to do with it. There's bugs left but there's no consumer board to look after consumers in events like this so developers like Obsidian who made New Vegas call how many patches there are and exactly what gets fixed with resources before they move onto a different project.

And people like Microsoft and Sony for sure aren't going to refund you unless you luck out on who you call in customer service. And even that could take 1-4 hours on the phone.

Best bet is the usual range of cache clearing, restarting console, etc. All else fails reload previous save. It svcks if you can't play HH but not much to do.

If you were a PC player there's other fellow players and modders who have fixed problems with custom patches available to the masses. Or you can even fix it yourself.

Personal experience can vary from computer to computer and game to game.

I personally had little problems with both, though I do think I experienced more bugs in Fallout 3.
I do have some more crashes playing New Vegas now, but that's more likely a consequence of the myriad of mods I'm playing.

Well even if you wanted to refund it, even though you shouldn't now, the xbox live market is set up like this:

On the left sides has the amount it costs and what you are downloading, also the buttons to cancel or download. On the right is has a description and one sentence on the bottom.

* This item may not be refunded.
