Fallout 3 GOTY worth it?

Post » Tue Oct 11, 2011 5:31 pm

Is the GOTY edition worth paying $30 to download to someone who has beaten F3 multiple times, beaten every sidequest in the game, and also has beaten The Pitt? It was all on my console, so I've been thinking about getting it on my laptop. Usually when i talk about the F3 DLC's, I usually hear that The Pitt is the best. Are there any DLCs that come close to it?

Hell yes!

Especially for the pc version.

If you are getting it on the labtop then you will fall in love with mods. Do get it; the GOTY makes everything simpler.

Point Lookout is an amazing DLC and it's huge. Broken Steele is nice because of the level cap extension (You can extend it on the Pc more) and the ability to play on after the purifier event.

Mother ship Zeta is a DLC where some like it and some don't. I recommend getting a mod called Mother Ship Zeta Crew that makes the DLC into something worth completing. I could go on and on about Zeta but I’ll leave it at that.

More Quests mods for example are on Nexus. Theres allot more then the DLC's to play if you get it on the Pc.

I'm pretty sure you just convinced me to buy it the next time I have a spare $30 :fallout:

Even if you've beaten it multiple times, the amount of mods that are available to add on PC is incredible. It'll surely add even more hours to the game and you can have alot more fun. :)

Point Lookout is better than The Pitt, imo. There's just so much more to do and see and the enemies are much much harder.

To Download? Uh.....no
To buy on disc? Hell, yes!

I bought it on launch day, and got all the DLCs. About six months before the GOTY came out, I flipped my copy on Goozex when I could still get something for it, then requested the GOTY when it came out. No point in buying the game a second time if you're not getting it on disc so you have a permanent copy they cannot take away from you.

Make sure first that your laptop can actually run the game. If all you have is an onboard integrated video chip, you probably won't be able to.
