The situation:
Crysis 2 is fully patched, graphics card drivers updated. 3d option not available. i have a 3d tv connected via hdmi and a monitor conected via the regular type monitor cable. pc specs are as follows:
AMD Athellon II X2 255 Processor 3.10GHZ, AMD Radeon HD 6570 1GB DDR3 RAM Over Clocked Version DX11 3GB RAM (not sure of the type), Windows 7 64 bit,

The question:
Why the heck does crysis not recognize my video card. I think that if it did the 3d options would be unlocked. I should also add that the game runs fine. Please, what do I need to do so that I can play this sweet game on a 47 inch 3d LED tv?

What options? Do you mean the DX11 patch? Maybe you don't have it installed! You have to download DX11 manually, because it isn't included in the 1.9 patch...

In the options tab there is a an option for stereo 3D. it is grayed out. I have the 1.9 patch, and the dx11 patch.

also i tried adding r_stereosupportamd 1 (two spaces) to the system.cfg and it wouldnt let me save the file after adding. so i did it in-game and it says [REQUIRE_APP_RESTART]. not sure what to do after that because i closed and opened the game and it still didn't recognize my graphics card.

wait now it's not just 6950 -6970-6990 which has support for 3d gaming
