I wanted to introduce some tournament ideas to you. Actually I am planing to start with this as soon as possible.

(recent)Rules:

- Instant Action
- 4 matches -> scores will be summed up -> best player wins
- the same 12 players on each map
- forced (primary) weapon on each map
- non dlc and(!) custom maps
- only registered players
- jump in/jump out mode -> you dont have to play the whole tournament, you can even leave in the middle of the game -> if you want to make points you have to be in the scoreboard in the end.
- no cheats/makros/glitch -> will lead to an instant ban
- any kind of teamplay is forbidden -> will lead to an instant ban
- no support bonuses

- if there are enough players we will make several groups - 1on1 for the win in the end
- matches will be at the weekend (time?) - several matches on a sunday. Depending on the player count there will be several groups and several "match days"

Haven't played for a while anyway. Last time I logged in, I tried 3 servers and met cheaters on every server.

Sadly I dont have the ressources to do it more professional. Btw. you typed sth. wrong there its "non dlc an custom maps" so we will play on standart maps an d some custom maps.

Every Sunday at Certain Time. Server goes up with a 3 minute countdown for players to join. Server password is sent out for registered players for that match.

4 Rounds of Instant Action are Played.

Screenshot each round and upload them somewhere, perhaps in a score records thread.

Someone totals up each players kills acoss the 4 matches and save them somewhere, the next group is played the next Sunday or something and then the top 4 of each group do another 4 rounds with each other in an 8 player FFA, (scores from final are totalled up without including scores from the first heats) and hazza we have a winner!

Does that sound right? Kinda wanted to summarise what I understood about the tournament.

How does it decide what weapons are forced for the first round?

I don't think there should be a score bonus for uploaded videos, that's kinda unfair, because it depends to the hardware and not to the skills.

I also don't like custom maps. If you do that, release the names of the maps so people can get familiar with them for ease of map traversal and to avoid people not being familiar with the map.

What region - server is this going to be on?

Ok - no bonus for uploaded videos - is see the problems there.
You should test our custom server somewhen - I did not like the first custom maps too but there are really good maps out there now, including the requirement to alter your strategies.
I will stick with the idea of at least one custom map, so if you want to get familiar with them, join our server we won't add a huge amount of new maps in the next weeks.

For the game mode - It is about fun.
Your tournament was slightly different (more competition and I liked it - with a lil sad ending for me/us) and I think some guys just lost there will to play there.
It is a game, I am not a beast of a player not even a clan leader and I am trying hard not to fail at life so this tournament will not be a platform for calling sb noob or boosting egos.
I can only keep it simple trying not to organize to much ****.
So basically it will be more a tournament for fun loving players than for esl "pros"...

Nice to see you in. The easiest way to get this working is to make a players list on the first site + the recent rules.
