When Fallout: New Vegas first came out, I was very excited. I had never heard of the franchise before fallout 3 but I gave that game a chance and loved it. When I first began playing NV I thought it was great but was a little unhappy at first; the game had numerous bugs (and still does) but It's to be expected for such a large game and I think the release date might have been rushed. Either way I played through most of it for a while and took a break. Then the DLC started coming out.

From what i've heard many people didnt care for Dead Money and there were complaints. But when I started my profile on it I was astonished, I really really loved it. This DLC had me from the beginning where you talk to father Elijah at the fountain in the main square. It set the atmosphere for a mysterious adventure through haunted villas once filled with wealth and luxury. The characters of God/Dog with the recording tape to change their personalities was genius in my opinion; after I learned more about Christine I began to greatly appreciate her as well. The relationship between Elijah and Christine helped to draw me into the story, and I felt empathy for the characters involved. Finishing this DLC helped me warm up to the game greatly and I waited with baited breath for the next one to come out.

Honest Hearts (although It didnt capture my attention as much as "Dead Money"), was a decent DLC was well. I thought it lacked a compelling/original story but I liked some of the characters and especially some of the new items it brought into the game. Not a bad job at all.

Old World Blues.... just wow. This DLC really got me excited; with an interesting (confusing at first) story, a wealth of new weapons, equipment and various other commodities, OWB really got me playing again. I loved *all* of the characters in this add-on, The Doctors, the sink personalities, the stealth suit and even my brain... just brilliant; they all added something unique that wouldnt let me put my controller down. I even got up in the middle of the night and wrote a three-page story about the Doctors preceding and directly after the events of the Great War, just for my own personal interest (perhaps I got a little -too- into it but whatever...) I've got no idea of what other gamers thought of this DLC but I hope they appreciated it as much as I did.

I recently downloaded Lonesome Road and the two smaller add-on packs as well. I havent started LR yet but I love the new stuff from Gun Runners. The point of this topic was to express my gratitude towards the team that put together these add-on's. I think that without them the game would be much less of an experience that it already was. So Thank you very much and keep up the excellent work. - C

Nice review, its cool to see something positive posted up instead of all the negative stuff we usually see.

Oh and if you've still got that story post it in the fan fiction section here on the forum, pretty sure you'd get some interest from it. :tops:

Didn't like the base game personnally (returned it before the DLCs came out) but the DLCs are incredible (I played the a bit at friend's houses and I watched let's plays).

I can't wait for F4, probably going to be one of my favorite games of all time.
