Unwanted Achievements With Update. : Fallout: New Vegas

I have no interest in the Gunrunner's Arsenal. Weapons are a minor interest in the game for me, with the way I play. I was more than happy ignoring that particular download.

After downloading an update this morning, unlocked GA achievements have now shown up in my list, knocking my 100% down and driving my mild OCD up the wall. As I said, I haven't bought GA and have no interest to do so. Why have the achievements been forcibly added to my profile with this update? It's very, *very* annoying.

Why has this happened? What's the point? To try and coerce me into buying and completing it? Why would I even want to do that with so many reports of glitched achievements not unlocking?

Companies whats money, Obsidion has moved on. So everyones kinda screwed on this one.

Because those without OCD don't care, most likely. There's no way that companies would take this kind of thing into consideration, really.

The unfortunate reality (and there's no easy way to say this) is that you either have to deal with it, or get GA and earn the associated achievements to get yourself back to 100%.

If you complain harder maybe Obsidian will rejoin and remove the achievements from your already updated game.

Or you can go back in time and slowly enjoy your 100% while you can.

Either way its done. Its impossible to remove them from your gamertag. Complaining does NOTHING at this point.

This is why I wish achievements/trophies were optional, and completely up to us to "activate" them, because I could care less about collecting the fake digital trophies. With DLC achievements though, most game companies add their achievements in patch before the DLC is released. Borderlands for example was the same way, L.A. Noire did the same thing as well. This is just how the companies have to add the trophies for DLC content I guess.

I feel for ya VG, I'd suggest deleting the latest patch, but that gave support for LR as well. :banghead:
