30 Days of Skyrim Fan Art

Post » Wed Oct 12, 2011 1:07 pm

Just like the title says, I plan on doing one piece of Skyrim fan art for each day until the game's release. I figure it's a good way to pass the time and vent off some of my excitement, while at the same time helping me relax and do something fun.

Can you really draw something like that once per day? Not saying you can't do it, but isn't art like that time consuming? What if you can't do it certain days?

Yep. As long as I have an idea of what I'm doing I can knock something like that out in an hour or two. In the spirit of full disclosure, I'll probably be doing two on Wednesdays, since I have class all day Thursday (9am to 10pm).

Really great man, thanks. I'll be looking forward to your artwork each day. Though why is the "days of skyrim" art replaced with a copy and past skyrim logo on the final project? I thought it looked really cool.

If no ideas are provided my brain defaults to scantily clad ladies.

I think we can all live with that.

I always thought it might be fun to try to illustrate a super complex or difficult to explain TES lore concept using the cheesy D&D art style from the Arena cover. I haven't been able to think of any examples since you mentioned scantily clad ladies.

I saw Lady Nerevar as the topic starter and knew this was going to be good.

Glad to see I was right! :D

This was pretty much my thoughts. /svckUp :P

Since I've finally managed to get a scanner I may throw my hat into the challenge. Sounds like fun! :)

Note: My art skills are rather poor, and since all I have available is pencil & paper, you guys are not in for any spectacular treat... But why not?

I didn't feel that it meshed with the picture or the idea of Skyrim  I may go back and try to do something with it at a later date.

Awesome! The more the merrier.

Thanks for the kind comments :)

Not to burst your bubble, but October has 31 days in it: Meaning there are 31 days until Skyrim comes out, not 30. >.>

Looks like you have to do an extra piece of artwork. :P

So I'm just going to post my own fan art... :ermm:

It looks crappy because I took a picture of it with my phone. A few days later, my sister ripped it up 'cause she's a little ass.

Yeah and at this rate, Ms. Nerevar will post her '1 Day Remaining!' art on the 9th, not the 10th. And if she were to then do a big day 0 'The game is out!!!!' piece, it would be on the 10th, not the 11th.
