[EDIT] Figured it might be worth it to mention this also. This is a new profile with my first post in this section, but I joined the forums back in 2005 under the name Sryner of the Sword and posted on a couple different RP threads. If that means anything to anybody or not, I thought it be worth mentioning in case anyone I used to write with remembers.

With Skyrim so close to release, and with some free time available, I want to start writing again but I have no inspiration to do anything on my own. So I've decided to see if I can start up an adventure story following a hero (who will be mostly created by voting for certain attributes) in a voted-on province with a certain goal.

The thing to make this interesting is I won't be controlling the main character, but rather everything else. All his allies and enemies will be made by me, with the main character created by everyone else. His skills will be determined by you guys, his decisions as well. The ramifications of his decisions will be told by me. He/she may make enemies of his allies based on what you guys decide to do with him/her, but you may not even know. His enemies might be taking advantage of mistakes made, but that will be happening in the background.

I'll start this out with a basic character sheet for the main character. Anyone who wants to see this story happen, fill out the fields and I'll gather them all and combine them to the average. If 6 people want him to be stealthy, 6 people want him to be a warrior, and 7 people want him to be a mage, he'll be a mage.

Race: Pick any. I'll try and make a cool heroic-sounding name that fits the race.
Genger: Male or Female
Age:
Class: This might be difficult. Vote on what type of person he is, and list a couple of his skills. Hopefully a lot of people contribute so I have a lot to work with.

After we get the basics of the main character out of the way, we can delve into the details. If it's a male nord, we can start on physical attributes, then go into what the story will be about. If you want to vote on what province we'll start out in and a basic entry into the plot, go ahead and make some suggestions. I'll be gathering all the information at one time or another anyway, and any insight is helpful.

Someone did something like this awhile, minus the "readers create the character" element. I'd be all for doing it again, though

I hadn't posted in a few months, and when I came back I couldn't get my account to work so I took another couple months or so off before making this one.

So I missed that one. Did he do a "Choose your own adventure" thing or what? The way I want this to work is where I have a story pretty much written entirely, but I'll take a break every once in a while to find out what the main character will be doing based on what you guys say he/she should do.
