I vote for a

"Derp, why wouldent i use the totally new freaking voice attacks that has been their main marketing plan along with the dragons?"

option. Seems totally weird to ignore such a big thing in the game.

Only reason I wouldn't use them is if (with later characters) I avoid starting the main quest at all. Which I'll only do if it's annoying (as in Oblivion, where I frequently just skipped the main quest so as not to clutter the countryside with Oblivion gates while I'm trying to, for example, try out some quest mods.)

I'm very much looking forward to the Shouts. The combat system is going to be amazing mixing in Shouts on top of an already very robust melee/magic/archery system. Awesome sword in one hand, devastating spell in the other PLUS Shouts! Well done Beth. Can't wait to see the combinations others come up with.

How exactly do they work I know you can find the words in dungeons and then when u kill a dragon and get its sould u can add a word to the shout but after that can u just use it whenever u want or to u have to get all the words and souls again?

have been lurking for a while before i made a profile a few days ago and this is my first thread, be kind... please?

I was just wondering if there are some (like me) that wont use the dragon shouts with a couple of my characters.

for instance, i will be playing a Nord in my second playthrough that is fearful of magic and despises those who use it. and i see the dragon shouts as just another kind of magic, so that character will not ever use it.

wanted to know what you think, if you will/wont use it and why/why not

Since I want my first character to be a Thu'um warrior, I definitely will use them. I might not use them on other characters, for roleplaying reasons.
