After you break away from your executioners and stuff... whats the first thing you are going to do?

Personally, im going to explore before i do anything else. I cant wait to have my breathe taken away by the enviroment. :tes:

Explore. Check out controls. Try some magic. After an hour. Kill someone to Join Dark Brotherhood. Find Thieves guild.

1. Check the file structure in the game folder especially with respect to the UI elements.
2. Extract any packed resource files (BSAs etc) and explore those.
3. Make sure the construction kit works and check out if a script extender is needed for human interaction and UI manipulation.
4. Phone in work sick.

follow the demo route, but taking more time to look at things and loot stuff.

Generally screw around and explore until I get a feel for the controls.

kill all companion characters

I'm gonna head to riften, sort my character out to get him ready for the most dangerous sport on Nirn... The weaponless and armourless marathon from Riften to Solitude. If my character survives I'll deem him worthy to continue playing.

The rules:

Start with no weapons, armour or magick
You can pick up loot along the way
Death means Death
No bed rests except for at camp sites
No fast travel
No 'waits'

If my character succeeds I will have enough admiration for him to continue on. It's a good way to explore and see scenery too.

OT: in Oblivion the first thing i did was cross the river to Vilverin, then kill those 2 bandits, then go to Cheydinhal and screw around some... so i really think it depends on where i start tbh

make my way to the nearest town get a job and make some money..possibly get into a dispute at the local tavern...wait till the person goes to sleep and kill them to join the dark brotherhood

Look for nearby caves to find some new duds.
